Cosmetic makeup tattoos, also known as permanent makeup or micropigmentation, are tattoos that are used to create permanent makeup. They can be used to create eyeliner, lips, eyebrows, and more.

Types of cosmetic makeup tattoos:

-
Lip Blushing ~ A technique that adds color to the lips by implanting tiny dots of pigment (See cautions below)
-
Microblading ~ A semi-permanent technique that creates the illusion of natural eyebrow hair
-
Brow Shading ~ The process of tattooing a solid shaded ink brow. Can be full single color or hombre shading
-
Eyeliner Tattoo ~ A technique that implants pigment along the lashline to create the appearance of darker lashes (Different types = upper waterline, Upper waterline with full line and lower full line)
-
Beauty tattoos ~ Freckles and beauty marks.
There are different types of brow tattoos. Here are some of the different varieties. As a reminder, a combination of styles can be combined in what is known as a combo brow.

**LIP BLUSHING CAUTIONS**
The following reactions are out of the artist’s control
Lip blushing may require extra touch ups for complete color saturation. The artist cannot predict how any client’s lips will take the color. There is no guarantee of perfect, even color saturation after the first application.

As with any tattoo application, there is always the rare chance of color migration outside the line of the lips. This can be due to the client’s own particular skin, or fine lines around the lip (smoker’s lines). This is also out of control for the artist.

Lip blushing may cause a flare up of cold sores/fever blisters, even if you have not previously had an outbreak. This is not a direct result of the tattooing itself, but rather the body’s reaction to the trauma of the service. It is strongly recommended to contact your doctor and start taking an antiviral prescription such as Valtrex if these show up. If the client has a history of cold sores, this makes it much more likely that it will happen after the service
